BIG NEWS!! We are excited to announce that the Hatteras Channel will begin dredge work as early as next week! Due to depth issues in the channel, some participants haven't been able to fish out of Hatteras. On April, 11, 2017, Dare County, the State of North Carolina, and the Army Corp of Engineers entered into an agreement to dredge the Hatteras channel. The work consists of maintenance dredging of interior navigation channels by a pipeline dredge. Dredging is expected to be finished before the start of the Big Rock Tournament on June 9th, 2017!
If you plan to fish out of Hatteras, have no fear! Dredging is expected to be finished by The Big Rock Tournament (June 9-17).
